Please join us for YGRR’s annual benefit auction! This is our largest fund-raising event of the year to benefit our Goldens in need, so we appreciate your attendance and/or support!
Registration online until April 26 for $35, the day of the event $40.
The Holiday Inn will have a block of rooms available for a discounted rate by calling 508-481-3000. Please provide the discount code of GRR. Reservations must be made by April 15th.
The doors open at 10:00 AM for check-in, and your registration fee includes an Italian buffet lunch. The silent auction will be available for bidding as soon as you arrive at 10:00, and the live auction will begin at 12:30 PM. There will be items of high and low value in each, so we urge you to arrive early so you don’t miss anything! Our auction is always open to everyone, members and non-members, so please spread the word and bring friends!
We have been away from Hudson for a few years now. Some special guest Goldens will be there with their adopted families to share their happy adoption stories. Other dogs, however, are not allowed, so please leave your 4-legged family members at home as it can get hot in cars in May.
Every auction brings in much needed revenue for our Rescue Goldens and Goldens at heart —but you don’t have to have a large bank account to have fun and participate. There’s no need to be intimidated by the thought of a “charity auction.” For those who have never attended our annual auction, items typically range in value from $5 to $1500. If you have been to an auction, you know that every year is completely different as there are always new and different items. The dress is casual and the atmosphere is informal.
Please use the following forms to pre-register, donate items, sponsor or place an ad in the auction catalog as we will not be sending a separate auction flier to help cut down on costs. If you pre-register, you can save $5 per person, and it helps us to plan the day. We are also looking for volunteers to help the day of the auction as it takes a lot of people to run it smoothly. If you cannot join us on the day of the auction there are many behind the scenes jobs we can use help with. It’s a great opportunity for those members who would like to get more involved, and it’s a very fun and rewarding experience! The volunteers also meet at least once before the auction at Riverview, our headquarters in Hudson. If you are interested in volunteering, please email email@example.com.
Auction donations are already arriving! Some items that historically do well include sports and entertainment event tickets, time at a vacation spot (especially if Goldens are welcome!), gift certificates, and unique Golden-related items such as artwork, furniture, jewelry, handbags, clothing, books, quilts, etc. Feel free to include items that are not Golden related, too! We ask that any item donated is new or in excellent condition. Each item submitted must have a form with it, and please tell us the value so we don’t have to look it up or guess. It is needed for tax purposes for both the donor and purchaser. Last day we can accept donations is April 5th 2019.
