2007-2008 Annual Raffle

Our 2007-2008 Annual Raffle was a great success! Almost $17,000 was raised that will be used to cover expenses, such as veterinary visits, surgeries, food, treats and toys, for the Goldens in our care.

All prizes were donated. Thank you to The Paw House Inn of West Rutland, VT for their generous First Prize. Thank you also to the four anonymous donors of the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Prizes.

Winners were:

1 st Prize - $500 Gift Certificate toward accommodations at The Paw House Inn – A. of Brewster, Massachusetts

2 nd Prize – Sitting Golden Puppy by Sandicast – J. of Hingham, Massachusetts

3 rd Prize – Concrete Garden Statue – B. of Southbury, Connecticut

4 th Prize – Brighton Golden Retriever Handbag – T. of Enfield, Connecticut

5 th Prize – N. of Amston, Connecticut

Thank you to all our members who bought tickets and sold them to friends, neighbors and co-workers. Your support has made a difference for the Goldens here at Riverview. Thank you also to our members who sold extra tickets!

2007 Benefit Auction

Originally scheduled for Sunday, April 15 th, due to bad weather YGRR’s 20 th Annual Auction was rescheduled for Sunday, April 29 th. The change in date didn’t stop our members from attending and making the day a great success both socially and as a fundraiser for the Goldens awaiting adoption.

Over 160 auction goers bid on more than 400 donated items while sharing stories about the Goldens they love and enjoying a box lunch.

Thanks to everyone on the 2007 Auction Committee and to those who donated gift cards for the Gift Basket raffles.
