Established in 1985, YGRR is a voluntary nonprofit charitable 501(c)(3) organization which is dedicated to providing veterinary care, comprehensive evaluation and adoptive homes to Golden Retrievers who are abandoned, mistreated, neglected or left in pounds throughout the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont). Rescue services are also provided to Goldens in acute need of placement due to compelling family circumstances. In addition to services for hundreds of young, healthy Goldens, YGRR is particularly proud of its programs of care for senior Goldens and Goldens with special medical needs. Since its founding, YGRR has provided rescue services to thousands of Goldens. Hundreds of others have been assisted by our hotline counseling and referrals to veterinary specialists, obedience trainers and animal behaviorists.
