Overview of the YGRR adoption process:

• YGRR Goldens are placed within the six New England states only
  (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont)

• The adoption donation for Goldens: 
  • $350 for dogs ranging in age from puppy hood to age 8
  • $200 for seniors, age 8 and older

  There is a $5 non-refundable adoption application processing fee to help cover our expenses.

  These donations help us meet the boarding and veterinary expenses incurred by our nonprofit organization, although our average expense per Golden is greater than the adoption donation.

• All YGRR Goldens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption

• We rarely have puppies available. For information on finding a reputable breeder, click here.

• We cannot accommodate drop-in visitors to our facility. Prospective adopters visit YGRR by appointment AFTER their adoption application has been approved.

• On average, it takes between one and five months to adopt a Rescue Golden, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
