About 200 people came to Hudson on Sunday, June 13 to enjoy a day at Riverview, see some of our Golden Retrievers, and raise some money for YGRR. Attendance was down slightly from last year…maybe a sign that folks are still worried about the economy, or maybe the weather kept people away…but we had a wonderful day, anyway, and the fabulous Auction Committee kept everything moving smoothly.

Some of our resident Goldens showed off their swimming and diving abilities in our pool, and we again had four resident Goldens representing the Silent Auction lots. Each Golden came in to personally greet the folks bidding on those items.

The Rose 32 Bakery and Café was brought back by popular demand to supply us with the most incredible sandwiches, focaccia, pastries and desserts. They were again very organized and handled the crowd with ease.

YGRR Auctioneer Robin did a superb job for the 2nd year in a row. Robin’s enthusiasm and humor no doubt encouraged the attendees to bid higher! As one attendee noted, people don’t come to the YGRR auction to find a bargain…they come to make money for the dogs. So true!
